OCSB Sensory Room Bid Project

Each year the Ottawa Catholic School Board makes countless renovations to their schools in order to improve the experience for their students. With over 200 buildings in their portfolio, managing each project can be a challenge.
To help streamline the bidding process, the OCSB uses 3D virtual tours to visualize a project to contractors online. This effectively reduces the number of contractors that have to go to site to see the project in person while also expanding the contractor pool to garner more competitive bids.
Matterport 3D Tour
Captured using the Matterport pro2 camera, the 3D virtual tour of the Sensory Room project enables OCSB to provide contractors with a complete understanding of the space in an online format. This 3D tour is included in their request for proposals to forgo physical site visits and garner more bids from a larger pool of contractors for the most competitive offer.
4K and Panoramic Images
In addition to the 3D tour, 4k images were captured of the space's unique features that were critical to the project but not in direct line of sight in the 3D tour.
