Bethany Hope Centre

Wayfinding Confidence For Women At Risk

Bethany Hope Center provides free services to the Ottawa community based on need. Young women and single mothers visit the centre to focus on health and nutrition, early childhood development, education, counselling, and basic financial security. As a large brick building on the corner of Woodroffe and Carling, the community centre can look intimidating on the outside. We wanted to help give a glimpse of the wonderful people, services, and spaces provided by Salvation Army on the inside and a Matterport virtual tour does just the trick. Visitors can see all that the Bethany Hope Center has to offer, previewing the space and ultimately being more comfortable on their first visit.

As a not-for-profit serving Ottawa’s vulnerable community, Point3D provided the virtual tour service free of charge as part of our Random Scans Of Kindness campaign.

Matterport 3D Tour
The virtual tour includes all the areas, services, and people of the Bethany Hope Centre. Embedded on pages of their website, users can learn the centre's layout, see where services are provided, and meet the people they will see ahead of time. This has helped the centre increase transparency and helped with appointment arrivals as it reduces nervousness amongst women at risk upon their first visit.
Google Street View
The Bethany Hope Centre can be visited online through their Google Street View tour on Google Maps and Google My Business. This allows users searching for the centre to easily see inside the space before they visit. It allows helps Bethany Hope Centre rank on Google Search.
