Fairfields Heritage House is an impressive 19th Century Gothic Revival farmhouse located 10 minutes away from Ottawa’s Parliament buildings, near Bayshore. Watson’s Mill Heritage Site

Built in the 1860’s by Moss Kent Dickinson and Joseph Currier, the vision for Watons’s Mill was to build a milling complex and new community in what is now present-day Manotick. Watson’s Mill was used as a mill for over 100 years, celebrating its centenary, before the mill manager Harry Watson, the namesake, entered into a partnership with the National Capital Commission.

Today, flour can still be purchased from Watson’s Mill, which is fully operational. Take the opportunity to explore the historic Mill via a 3D Virtual tour, with special access to the watermill, only accessible virtually!

ByTown Museum

Situated in the heart of Downtown Ottawa, the ByTown Museum is a reflection of the area’s rich history, and a 3D Virtual tour will take you through the museum’s permanent exhibits, detailing the history of Canada’s capital. It is the oldest stone building in Ottawa, built in 1827.

Former Almonte Post Office

Designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1983, the Former Almonte Post Office is a striking building, with a beautiful stone exterior. Built in a two-year period from 1889 to 1891, the building is a Romanesque Revival style positioned in a prominent position in Almonte’s downtown.
